80s of the noughties

They just don't make music like they used to. Yes there are some great songs being played over the airwaves these days but sometimes I feel that they're much too overly produced & generic. They're songs that are trendy and in for now but will easily be forgotten and replaced.

Which is why I personally feel that the songs from the 80s are still the best. I'm overwhelmed with feelings of nostalgia and good vibes whenever I hear my favourites being played. There's just something about them! I get a buzz whenever I hear current songs adopting the 80s sound.

Below are some 80's influenced songs that I've heard and liked:

Gwen Stefani

Cool (Love.Angel.Music.Baby album)
Early Winter (The Sweet Escape album)
4 in the Morning (-as above-)

Mika

Relax, Take It Easy (Life in Cartoon Motion album)
Rain (The Boy Who Knew Too Much)

Nelly Furtado

Ashlee Simpson

Outta My Head (Ay ya ya) - (Bittersweet World)

Alicia Keys

Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart - (The Element of Freedom)
