I'm in pain. But I'm quite pleased with myself because I finally took a step to doing my resolution for this year which is to exercise more. I did some walking with my friend around our housing area and then the next day, another one of my good friends finally convinced me to join her at a nearby gym to try out the facilities there.
It's called Contours Express and is a gym specifically for women. Occupying the top of a shoplot, it's not hi-tech looking or as glammed up as some of the many other gyms out there but it had a more cosier atmosphere and the staff - all 3 of them - were friendly and helpful. They worked out how much BMI I had and how much of it was extra fat and they told me basically what I needed to do in order to get rid of it.
What pleasantly surprised me was that instead of working on one piece of equipment for half an hour, you change according to the music. And so when you hear "Change station", you move on to the next exercise so you're always changing it up and you don't get bored and no one person is hogging the station for too long. And the best part is that you only need half an hour in all to work out which is great for people like me whose excuse is always "I don't have time!".
Apparently it's going to take 2 to 3 months of consistent working out to lose my excess fat. Yes, ever since coming on the Red FM Breakfast Show, I've put on weight. My pants and jeans don't fit me anymore. -_-
Here's hoping I stick to my resolution and lose some weight!
