My brother is paying me a visit this week. It's the most time that he's had away from my parents and this time round, he's got a chance to explore KL in a way he hasn't had before. I finally got to take my action-figure & comics fan of a brother to Low Yat and Sungei Wang.. KLCC and Pavilion. He got to ride the Monorail for the first time and he finally got to experience getting a haircut in a proper salon for the first time. All this while, our dad has been the one cutting his hair. I also got to introduce him to banana-leaf rice, Chilli's and Subway sandwiches..
It also gives us a chance to bond as brother and sister. Being 7 years apart and having grown up physically apart, we weren't really that close. I would say our sibling relationship was rather... civil. I was always a lil envious of my friends who were tight with their brothers and sisters.
So this trip gives me an opportunity to know my brother better and vice versa. We've been having real conversations, hopes and plans for the future... so it's nice to know how my brother thinks and that he knows what he wants in life... and I like showing my brother around and exposing him to new sights and sounds coz back in JB, he leads a rather sheltered life compared to me.
I'm actually looking forward to the next trip :)
