Even in self-service restaurants they even have to hire busboys/gals to clear the table – Oy, it’s called a self-service restaurant for Heaven’s sake! You pick up your own food, eat it and clear your own table la. And when I did things by my self, ppl went ‘Owh Ida, why do you have to be so OCD about this’ ;p Disheartening – yeah, big time! I dunno what is with the habit of &#39;buang suka-suka&#39;. I hate to admit some of us have this deep and bad habit. As for some people concerned it is just a bad habit that needs REALLY GOOD TEACHING. Don&#39;t take things easy. As far as I am concerned is there any harm in putting or keep on hold of your trash until you reach a proper place to dispose it. I believe that if we were taught to do this from small it can be a good habit and following to others. At the work place I really admit to <b> SAY THAT SOME OF US ARE PLAIN OLD LAZY TO CLEAN UP OUR UTENSILS/CUPS AFTER CONSUMING.</b> I as a high level worker, even I know that someone will clean up after me <b>BUT I ADMIT I CLEAN UP AFTER I USE or I BRING MY TRASH UNTIL I FIND A PROPER PLACE TO DISPOSE IT...</b>I can&#39;t stand to see dirty things around, it hurts me...ARGGH!!! COME ON !! What is wrong in cleaning up after usage or throw trash appropriately after consuming....our neighboring country (ie Singapore) has to impose strict laws and fines to make sure its&#39; citizens clean up!! I know you say we are too lenient in this aspect but we should cleanup. After all in ISLAM it is mentioned that <i> Cleanliness is part of faith </i> so what is happening??! To him, it&#39;s like, you&#39;re paid to do your job so why should I bother?<br />I&#39;m not sure if this applies too - I don&#39;t think it&#39;s necessary in a restaurant but because I&#39;ve done waitressing before, I KNOW how heavy the plates are and after my meal, I tend to stack the plates up from the largest serving plate to the small sauce plates, just to make it easier for the waiter/waitress. My dad literally glares at me and tells me don&#39;t even do it cos you&#39;re the guest and it&#39;s not your job.
